An extraordinarilly active Martin Luther King Day, principally serving as one of three judges, with Steven Hofer and Kerry Borgan, for Contra Costa String Association's 2014 Young Artist Competition Finals, hosted by Diablo Valley College -- two concerts: the first of the
Vamos, Primary,
Elementary and
Intermediate Violin and
Cello Divisions,
followed by the
Senior,
Junior, and Chamber personnel of the aforesaid --
amazing talent throughout.
Before
this,
up
early,
down
the
familiar
corridor
in
its
ever
new
unfamiliar
mixture of clear and cloud,
light and shadow;
and,
after,
back
towards
the
homestead
briefly
in
dramatic
contrasts,
and
off again to
San Francisco Composers Chamber Orchestra Board meeting,
returning late for the concluding edits (begun in the latter afternoon) re Psalm 115 "Not Unto Us".
