Up
and
out,
breakfast
onsite,
checking
out,
across
town to
pick up Chris,
then again over the Charles
to
Storrow
Drive
and
Arlington
Street
Unitarian-
Universalist
Church.
With
an
hour
leeway,
cannot
resist
circumnavigating
adjacent
Boston
Public
Garden and Common,
northwest around the
pond and the
Make Way for Ducklings sculptures,
northeast
to
Beacon
Hill
and
the
Statehouse,
southeast
past
Park Street and Brewer Fountain,
southwest
towards
the
Visitor
Center,
close
by
Central
Burial
Ground,
and
then
returning
aside
a
phalanx of statuary.
The
Church
service
is
lovely,
with
Chris
serving
ably as Pastor Intern.
Meeting
and
greeting
thereafter,
exploring
about,
then,
returning
vehicular-wise
via an
intriguing 3D Print Center --
we head
over Harvard Bridge
to tour the
Divinity School:
Andover and Rockefeller Halls,
the
labyrinth,
and
the
original
edifice.
Following this,
it's again crosstown past Memorials,
to Cambridge Common
Restaurant,
rendezvous'ing with
Jessica.
A good time is had by all,
followed by fond farewells,
and
exit stage
west on Massachusetts Turnpike in the setting sun.
High at home, 79 degrees, on the 237th day of summer -- considerably cooler locally: 56, though 8 ticks warmer than yesterday...
