Here we are again, continuing from markalburger2013.blogspot.com, pointedly preparing for '14 in general and specifics including Opus 13, if the fainter dot on the bottom left is glossed over -- starting this site and learning how to move blog titles over eventually...
But
first,
ride
out
the
New
Years
fireworks
at
Seattle
Center
with Harriet and Claire, beating a not-so-hasty retreat with the happying crowd, twisting around the downtown diagonal grid,
ultimately returning for a few hours respite.
Upon
re-aquaintance
with
the
compromised
light,
continue
to
admire
the
amenities
of
this
amazing
aquatic
abode,
owned
by
a
client
of
Nathan's,
here along the Lake Union waterfront of Seattle.
And soon Nathan and Joyce
arrive,
the five (or is it six?...)
of
us
enjoying
a
convivial
time,
before
heading
out
with Ms. March Page
towards less
cold and
foggy points south,
the
clouds
breaking and re-densing in southern Washington,
over the Columbia to Oregon and
Portland
along
the
Willamette
River,
up against the Coast Range,
Cottage
Grove --
beyond
the
Valley --
and
Roseburg...
the
sun
eventually
giving
it
up
quite
spectacularly
south
of
here,
as
we
proceed
ever on:
Canyon
Creek
Pass, Stagecoach and Smith Hill Summits,
Seton Mountain, Grant's Pass, Rogue River, Medford, Ashland, vaulting the Siskiyous, thankfully back into California, Weed, Black Butte, Shasta City, Dunsmuir, the Lake, Redding, Red Bluff, Willows, Williams, Winters...
